Beef Cutlet



       Beef cutlets are the most favoured snack among kids as well as elders. It can be easily made if you have cooked beef and potatoes. You can also make this from leftover beef fry. Try this yummy and crispy beef cutlet recipe.




Ingredients

·         Beef - 250 gms (Cut into medium sized pieces)
·         Onion ( finely chopped ) -1big
·         Curry leaves- 1 or 2  sprigs
·         Potato - 2 or 3  medium sized
·         Garlic ( chopped ) - 1/2 tsp
·         Ginger ( chopped )  - 1/2 tsp
·         Green chilli ( finely chopped ) - 1
·         Garam masala  powder - 3/4 tsp
·         Pepper powder – 1 tsp
·         Egg - 1
·         Bread crumbs or rusk powder – 1 1/2 cup
·         Cooking oil (preferably coconut oil)-5 tbsp
·        Salt to taste

Preparation:
  1. Clean the beef  pieces and add salt, 1/2 tsp pepper powder.  Keep it aside for 30 mins.
  2. Cook the marinated beef pieces with 1/4 cup water. Chop or shred the cooked beef into small bits.
  3. Cook the potatoes till it becomes soft. Mash it well and keep aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions, green chillies and curry leaves. Saute it till the onion becomes translucent.
  5. Add pepper powder and  garam masala. Saute it for few minutes and add shredded beef  to this. Saute it for another few minutes. Remove from flame and leave it to cool.
  6. Combine together mashed potatoes, enough salt and the sauted beef masala mix with your hands.
  7. Make lemon sized balls and flatten it to any shape of your choice.
  8. Heat oil in a pan in medium low flame.
  9. Dip the moulded cutlet  in beaten egg and roll it in rusk powder.
  10. Fry each cutlets until both side becomes light brown in colour.  
  11. Drain the fried cutlets using tissue paper to remove the excess oil.
  12. Serve hot with ketchup or sauce.
