Kerala style Pork curry

         Pork curry is a must dish for any Christian home during festival time or any special occasion. This is a traditional south Indian recipe flavoured with pepper, ginger, garlic,  green chillies and vinegar. So all pork lovers learn how to make delicious pork curry at home with this simple and easy to make recipe. You can try different varieties of chillies either green or dry red chillies or chilli flakes which suits your flavour. I have made this in a very simple way. Hope you will enjoy this simple dish. Ingredients

·         Pork - 1/2 kg (cut into medium sized pieces)
 ·        Onion (Finely chopped)-1 medium sized·      
·        Tomato -1 medium sized·      
·         Garlic paste -1tsp
·         Ginger paste -1tsp
·          Mustard seeds- 1tsp
 ·         Green chilli - 2 split lengthwise
·         Turmeric powder – 1/2tsp
·         Coriander powder  - 1 tsp
·         Meat masala powder - 1 tsp
·         Curry leaves- 2 sprigs·        
·         Bay leaves- 2        
·         Cooking oil(preferably coconut oil)-1 tbsp
·         Salt to taste

Marination

·         Pepper powder-1tsp
·         Turmeric powder – 1/2tsp
·          Vinegar - 2 tbsp
·         Salt to taste

Preparation:
  1. Wash the pork pieces neatly and marinate it with the ingredients under marination. Keep it for 30 mins. 
  2. Grind the mustard into paste and keep aside.
  3. Grind the tomato into a paste and keep aside.
  4. Cook the marinated pork pieces in a cooker till done.
  5. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion, green chillies, bay leaves and curry leaves . Saute it well till it turns light brown in color.
  6. Add ginger garlic paste, mustard paste and stir till raw smell goes.                                                                                             
  7. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder and meat masala powder to it and stir for few mins.
  8. Add tomato paste to it and mix well. Stir until the raw smell goes.
  9. Add cooked pork to this mixture and blend well. Stir for 5 more mins.
  10. Remove from flame and serve hot.
Note:

1.       You can also use red chilli flakes.
2.       You may also add coconut bits while sautéing for more flavour.
