Homemade ghee roast dosa

    Ghee roast dosa is a classic south Indian breakfast. It is made with dosa batter. It can be made at home very simply. Its best served with coconut chutney and sambar. 



Ingredients:
  • Idli/dosa batter 
  • Ghee
  • Salt to taste
Preparation:
  • Take a bowl of dosa batter. It has to be slightly loose.
  • Add enough salt to it and gently combine well.
  • Heat a tawa. If needed you may spread some oil over the tawa uniformly using a tissue paper.
  • Pour a ladle full of batter to the tawa. Spread out in a circular motion to form a thin dosa.
  • Spread 2 tsp of ghee over the dosa.
  • Cook till it get a light golden brown color and becomes crispy.
  • Flip and cook for few seconds.
  • Fold it as needed and remove from tawa.
  • Serve hot.
Notes:
  • If you are using idli batter, add some water to make it slightly loose as dosa batter.
  • The size of the dosa depends upon the size of tawa used.
