Agoli meen varuthath (Pomfret fish fry)


          Agoli fish is a commonly found fish in Kerala. Here is another fish fry recipe for you. Its very easy, simple and tasty.





Ingredients

·         Agoli  (Pomfret fish) - 3 nos
·         Red chilli powder - 3 tbsp
·         Turmeric powder - 1tbsp
·          Lemon juice- 1 tbsp
·         Cooking oil(preferably coconut oil)
·         Salt to taste

Preparation:
  1. Clean the fish neatly.
  2. Make slits on both sides of the fish.
  3. Mix together red chilli powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice and salt.
  4. Marinate the fish with this mixture for 15-30 mins so that the flavours get absorbed well.
  5. Heat oil in a pan.
  6. Deep fry both sides of the fish till it becomes golden brown.
  7. Remove from flame and drain excess oil. Serve hot.
Note:
1.       You can also use pepper powder.
2.       Vinegar can be used instead of lemon juice.
3.       I used the tail portion for making curry and head portion for fry.
